 Over several weeks, the software was trained by 10 participants with different heights and ages making throwing motions; left, right and down the middle.  The machine would trigger one of three ‘dog fetching’ videos with 90% accuracy.

 The mechanism pre-loaded the next ball for consistency and the motor was delayed until the right moment for the ball to drop as the virtual dog’s mouth opened.
